Dr. N. Sharon Hill is an associate professor of management at The George Washington University School of Business. Dr. Hill’s research and teaching interests are in the areas of human resource management and organizational behavior, with a particular focus on teamwork and organizational change. Dr. Hill’s research has been published in leading academic journals and she has received a number of teaching and research awards.

Dr. Hill received her Ph.D. in Business and Management from the University of Maryland, College Park. She also holds an M.B.A. in International Business and a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering with German (University of Bath, United Kingdom). Prior to earning her doctorate, Dr. Hill worked for DuPont and General Electric in the United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, and the United States. Her global, cross-functional business experience includes roles in information technology, six sigma quality improvement, organizational change, as well as corporate training and development. She has led global and cross-functional teams with members and clients located around the world.

Dr. Hill is a member of the academic honor societies of Beta Gamma Sigma and Alpha Kappa Phi. She is also a member of the Academy of Management, Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, American Psychological Association, Interdisciplinary Network for Group Research, and Society for Human Resource Management.
